November 29, 2023: Thanks to cousins Eugene Stoeckly and Martin Walser, we have copies of 4 pages of the Swiss family register books for our Stockly ancestors. These 4 pages include the family pages for our grandfather Eugen Traugott Stockli, his father Friedrich Emil Stockli, Friedrich's father Johannes Stockli, and Johannes' father Hans Ulrich Stokli. These provided much new information, including a sister and brother of Eugen which we did not previously know about. I have added these 4 pages to the Docs tab. Also I have added all of the new people in the 1934 Stoecly family tree that can be found in the Trees tab, and I have made appropriate corrections in the Lina Jaggi and Eugen Traugott Stockli biography.

January 8, 2022: Changed the birthdate of Maria Theresia Buhler in the Jaeggy Trees based on a "Familien-Chronik." document sent from Barbara Jaeggy.

September 10, 2021: Added tab for Adele; made corrections to Adele document including the addition of another lamp

November 10, 2020: Corrected some mistakes thanks to information from Barbara Jaeggy. This included Lina's Autograph Book, the Lina Jaeggy and Eugene Traugott Stoeckly biography, and a new memoriam for Otto Jaeggy.

2020 October: I made a major reorganization of this web site, which included moving what used to be the home page into this blog page. The home page now shows several books about the Stoeckly family, some of which were scattered under other tabs (postcard album, Lina & Eugene bio, and Tante Adele), but most of which are new content. There is also a new Obits page. The impetus behind this reorg was Lina's Autograph Book. Lina started this book the final year of her schooling. Nancy Rosi came across it hidden in a drawer of her house this past spring. I scanned it, had it transcribed and translated, and put it together for this web site. There are a number of items that are incomplete and I could use some help on!
1. Who are the 3 Knopfel people who signed the Autograph book besides Emma Knopfel?
2. Anybody have an obituary/bio for Enos, George, or Fred?
3. How about any obituaries/memoriums for any more Swiss relatives, especially Emma Jaeggy/Rudolf Blum - Emil Jaeggy/Emma Knopfel - Lydia Jaeggy/Hans Aeberhard - Margaretha Jaeggy - Walter Jaeggy/Lisa Fischer - Otto Jaeggy/Marta Ruegg - Freder Jaeggy/Maria Medina - Leny Jaeggy

2020: Aunt Erika Saltzman died in her sleep on the morning of April 3, 2020, at the age of 104 1/2 years old. We are all filled with sorrow, though it had to come some day. It is the end of an era, as she was the last of her generation, including both the American and Swiss relatives. Here is an autobigraphy she wrote.

2020: John made a good photo of the above portrait that he found at Erika's.

2019: The memorial service for Ed Ryland provided a chance for some of the Stoeckly descendents to get together in the Denver area. Four of the five Stoeckly children have died (Erika is about to turn 104), while three of the thirteen Stoeckly grand-children have died. Here is a photo of the seven cousins who were at the service, and the five Ryland grandchildren who were there. 2013: This past summer I was fortunate to visit Ed Ryland and see the Postcard Album he has of postcards sent from Eugen to Lina before they were married.
