Steamboat Pilot June 1939 Wife of James D. Crawford Died on Sunday, June 4 John D. Crawford received word Tuesday that his son's wife, Mrs. James D. Crawford, passed away at Glendale, Calif., Sunday, June 4. James was in Washington, D. C. attending a conference when he received word of her illness and he went to California by airplane, arriving about two days before his wife died. When he was called to Washington in connection with the Indian service conference, his wife went from their home in Albuquerque, N. M. to Glendale to visit her mother. Funeral services were held at Glendale Wednesday and interment was in the Glendale cemetery. About five years ago Jamie Crawford and Imogene Harrison were married in Salt Lake City. They came to Steamboat Spriings to visit relatives before returning to California. He was later transferred to Albuquerque where he is superintendent of the federal Indian service. He received a degree of bachelor of arts from the University of Colorado in Boulder before he went west. The Harrison family lived in Steamboat Springs one summer while Mr. Harrison was field man for the Texas company in the Tow Creek field. It was then that James and Imogene Harrison became acquainted. CRAWFORD Funeral services for Mrs. Emogene H. Crawford, 33, who died June 4, were held today in Inglewood. Burial took place in Inglewood Park cemetery. Mrs. Crawford, a native of Wyoming, resided at 1034 Thompson. She came to Glendale sixteen years ago from New Mexico. Surviving her are her widower, James D. Crawford; her mother, Mrs. Evalyn Harrison; a sister, Mrs. George E. McIntyre, and two brothers, R. F. and D. C.
